Artist Profile

As a painter working primarily in the studio, I depend upon photographic imagery. It allows me to capture moments I wish to paint drawing from my own photographic references collection and the immense visual source of  social media.

As a gay artist, my practice directly engages with the shifting narratives of masculinity and representation. I seek to challenge singular interpretations of the male form, offering a multiplicity of identities that exist both within and beyond conventional frameworks. By positioning queer identities at the heart of my work,I  introduce a subversive aspect to contemporary portraiture—creating a space for visibility, reflection, and quiet resistance.

The emotive power of painterly language guides my work. Colour, line, mark, and texture are expressive tools that shape atmosphere and psychological depth.

Through this, my practice explores how identity is documented, curated, and performed in the digital age.
