Andy Sylvester Artist
As a painter, I reference photographic sources, gathered during face-to-face sittings or utilising socially shared images.
As a gay man I am interested in redefining the idea of masculinity and the male form and my work explores the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with. I am interested in presenting Queer identies within the traditional framework of portraiture.
I have work in several public and private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. I am available for commissioned portraits.
Want to know more about purchasing a painting, or discuss commissioning a work? Please get in touch and I will come back to you promptly.
